Dear Expectant Parent Letter

Dear Expectant Parent,

We would like to acknowledge the difficult decision that you are making, and would like to thank you for your consideration of us potential adoptive parents for your child. You are making what will probably be one of the most difficult decisions that you will ever make. Choosing to place your baby for adoption is a bittersweet choice, a painful decision for you and the gift of a lifetime for us. In our home, your baby will be blessed with all of the love and opportunities that we can provide.

Eric was born in Ogden, Utah and split his childhood between there and Everett, Washington. He is the youngest of six children, one of which is a fraternal twin brother. We are lucky to have two of his brothers that live within ten minutes of us.

Jennie grew up in Riverton, Utah and has one older brother. She was fortunate to spend her entire childhood in the same home. Jennie’s brother lives next door to her parents, where he raised his three children. Jennie is very close to her nieces.

We purchased our home 7 years ago, and have recently remodeled our main floor. We live in a small town, on a quiet dead end street. In our neighborhood it is common to see children outside playing and families walking around the block in the evening. We have a big back yard with plenty of space to play. We have a nice set up for our two horses and three Labrador Retrievers on an acre and a half.

We have been married for 7 years and together for 12. We enjoy a very active lifestyle. Together we enjoy camping, fishing and riding our ATV’s. Jennie is a competitive horseback rider and Eric enjoys hunting. We often invite family and friends to join us on our trips. Both sides of our family are very excited to welcome a new baby into the family.

Thank you for giving us the chance to realize our dream to be parents. We would like the chance to watch a child grow, learn, and explore the world around him. We appreciate that you have taken the time to consider us. We understand that this is a very difficult and emotional time for you and would like the opportunity to help you through this period of your life. If you are interested in speaking with us, please feel free to email us at jenandericadopt@yahoo.com

Wow, new photos finally

My niece is quite the photographer at family events. Unfortunately she is not quite as good at emailing the photos. She just sent me these a little while ago so I can post them.

My sister-in-law gave Eric a coffee grinder since Eric is a major coffee drinker.

                                      Rocky has no understanding that is is L A B not L A P!!
It's my personal favorite (I took the photo too)

We are sad to announce

That we have lost a member of our family. Casey our black lab passed away on Saturday, April 2nd. She was a valued companion and will be missed greatly by all of us. We got her when she was 9 weeks old. Casey's health had started to deteriorate in the last year, and she was diagnosed with severe arthritis in her spine. We were able to keep her comfortable with medication and she had a good quality of life up to the last day. Both Eric and I are glad now that we went ahead and got the puppies in December so as to give Rocky (our yellow lab) some time to bond with them. He is having a hard time adjusting to not having her with us.
We are at peace knowing that she is not in pain and is able to retrieve her rope toy to her hearts content now.

Meet Chance and Shilo, the new additions to our family

This is Shilo (L) and Chance (R). We thought that it was time to introduce the new members of our family. Chance is Eric's christmas present, and Shilo was mine.

Childhood photos of Jennie and Eric

I thought that since it has been a while since I have posted that I would post some photos of us as children. This was my dads favorite photo of me as a young child. It was still in his wallet the day that Eric and I got married.
This is my favorite photo of Eric as a child. Eric is the one on the left and his twin brother is on the right.

Our first blog post

If a photo is worth a thousand words then here we go. I think that the best illustration about our life will be in photos. I will try to caption the photos as best as possible. We got married in Las Vegas, a planned wedding with our families there to support us.
